Ethics in healthcare is an issue that is ever evolving with the technological landscape. Every new piece of health tech brings with it a unique ethical challenge, but as much as things change, certain guiding principles of ethical care remain the same.

USF Health’s Master of Science in Health Informatics is designed to give students a firm grounding in e-healthcare ethics.
“We try and expose our students to a diverse array of biomedical ethical issues in our courses to encourage students to assess their ethical viewpoints and, in the case of health informatics, help them analyze their responses to a variety of related ethical scenarios as part of their educational development and to prepare them for their future activities as health informatics professionals,” said Dr. Michael Barber, professor of the e-healthcare ethics course for USF’s informatics program.
